Acts of the Apostles, Stories of the Prophet Muhammad from Birth to Death

Who doesn't know about Prophet Muhammad? The full story of the Apostle is not just a matter of reading but should be an example in our daily lives.

Birth of Prophet Muhammad

Rasulullah SAW was born in the Year of the Elephant, the year when an elephant army led by Abrahah Habasyah wanted to destroy the Ka'bah. In His greatness, Allah Almighty stopped the army by sending the birds of prey to bring down the stones that carried the plague. This incident is found in the Quran, Surat Al Fil which means the elephant army.
This year, the Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca and raised as an orphan because Abdullah, the father of the Prophet Muhammad, died before the Messenger of Allah. Some years after spending time with his mother, Aminah, the Prophet Muhammad was raised by his grandfather Abdul Muthalib.
Unfortunately, the age of his grandfather was also only briefly. After two years of being raised by his grandfather, Abdul Mutholib died at the age of the eighth Rasul and the Prophet was taken care of by his uncle Abu Talib. Abu Talib is known as a generous person even though his life is poor or does not meet his daily needs. Only with these circumstances, the Prophet Muhammad could develop and grow with his uncle.

Prophet Muhammad received the First Vision

Before becoming a Prophet, Prophet Muhammad received some special gifts from Allah such as his clean and shining face that beat the moonlight, growing up in the area where Halimah (the mother of the Prophet's mother) was, when it was arid and dry, and so on. These are the signs of the greatness of God which signifies the coming of the last prophet with the highest rank in the future.
When the Apostle wanted to get his first revelation, the Apostle had a dream Angel Gabriel approached him. The apostle was alone in the Cave of Hira precisely above Jabal Nur. That is where the Apostle was shown that his dream was true.
The angel Gabriel came to the Messenger and the first revelation that he brought from the Almighty, Although the Prophet was terrified, that's where the Messenger of God began. This is where the last Prophet came to bring peace to all the people.

Preaching in Secret

After receiving the first revelation, the Prophet proceeded to preach in secret. As for his first followers were Khadijah, Abu Bakr Al-Shiddiq and Zaid bin Haritsah, Umm Aiman, Ali bin Abu Talib, and Bilal bin Rabah.

Allah commands the Preaching of the Day

After many years of secretly preaching, the command of Allah SWT came down in al-hijr verse 94 and ordered the Prophet to preach openly.

The Order of Zakat in the Time of the Prophet

During the time of the Prophet's Messenger in the first year of Medina, the Prophet and his companions and all the Muhajirin (Quraysh Muslims who emigrated from Mecca to Medina) were still faced with how to carry out their livelihood in the new place. This is because, besides, not all of them have enough, except for Usman bin Affan, all their possessions and wealth are also left in Mecca.
When the condition of the Muslims began to prosper, precisely in the second year of the Hijri, then the obligation of zakat was fulfilled. The Prophet Muhammad immediately sent Mu'adz bin Jabal to Qadli in Yemen. The Apostle also advised him to convey to the bible a number of things, including the obligation of charity by speech, The objects that were sanctified in the time of the Messenger of Allah were animals, such as goats, cattle, camels, and valuables such as gold and silver, and plants such as poems (barley), wheat, dried grapes (raisins), and dates. However, it develops in line with the nature of the development of the property or the nature of the acceptance to develop on the property itself, which is called "illat". According to "Illat" that is the law of zakat.

The principle of zakat taught by Rasulullah SAW is to teach sharing and care, therefore zakat must be able to foster a sense of empathy and mutual support for fellow Muslims. In other words, zakat must be able to change people's lives, especially Muslims.

The events of Isra Mi'raj

In the eleventh year of the era of the Prophet Muhammad, a sad event occurred. This year is often called the year of sadness because his uncle Abu Talib and his wife Khadijah died that year.
After this event, God then sent the Angel Gabriel to accompany the Prophet on his journey from the Sacred Mosque to the Aqsa Mosque called Israel where the Messenger later traveled from the Aqsa Mosque to the seventh heaven called Mi'raj. Thereupon, the Prophet received a 5-hour prayer that all Muslims must perform.
In addition there are some things that you need to look deeper into behind the events of the rarely known Isra Miraj

The death of Prophet Muhammad

While Abu Bakr's companion was not in Medina, there was a very sad event in which the Prophet Muhammad died. When Abu Bakr was informed, he immediately came to Aisha's house. He utters the speech, "Whoever worships Muhammad, then surely Muhammad is dead, and whoever worships Allah, verily Allah remains alive and does not die."
